Scholarships for aeronautics and aerospace engineering

Several scholarship programs are available for students seeking a master's degree in aeronautics and astronautics and aerospace engineering. Some scholarships are available to students in the United States. Others may be limited to students of a particular gender or students attending specific institutions.

American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA, for its acronym in English) provides annual scholarships to undergraduate students pursuing degrees in aerospace engineering. The AIAA Foundation scholarships are priced from US $ 2,000 to US $ 2,500 per year and may be renewed for one or two years. To be eligible, applicants must be sophomores, juniors or seniors and have a GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. The annual deadline for registration is January 31.

NASA

NASA offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students through its Scholarship Program Aeronautics. This generous scholarship offers undergraduates a maximum of $ 15,000 in tuition assistance per year for up to two years. Graduate students are eligible to receive US $ 11,000 in tuition assistance per year for up to three years, and also receive an annual stipend of $ 35,000. A undergraduates and graduate are also paid $ 10,000 to complete a summer internship at NASA. Prospective applicants must apply online.

Scholarships for women

Several scholarship programs aeronautical engineering limited to female applicants. The Society of Women Engineers awarded several of these scholarships, including scholarships Brill Family of US $ 1,000, the $ 5,000 scholarship awarded by the General Electric and Honeywell Women's Network scholarship of US $ 5,000. The organization Women in Aviation also offers two scholarships for aerospace engineering who are women, in addition to the scholarship of $ 5,000 given by American Airlines and American Eagle; and, finally, is the scholarship of $ 5,000 given by Delta Airlines Engineering.

Específías School Scholarships

Many schools that offer degrees in aeronautical and astronautical engineering also offer scholarships to assist students. For example, students of the Faculty of Engineering James Worth Bagley of Mississippi State University may be eligible for various departmental scholarships, including scholarships Lieutenant Colonel Charles P. Downer Jr. Memorial of US $ 1,000 scholarship Henry W. Shurlds Jr. of US $ 500 scholarship Ausbon Darwyn L., Jr. Memorial Endowed $ 1,000. List of colleges offering Aeronautical Engineering

For those interested in pursuing a degree in aeronautical engineering (also known usually as aerospace engineering), several colleges and universities offer excellent programs. According to the Academy of the Air Force of EE. UU., "Aeronautical engineering profession is to design, develop, test, manufacture and maintain all atmospheric flight systems".
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
With offices both in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Prescott, Arizona, the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is the oldest and one of the most distinguished universities specializing in aerospace and aviation. The aerospace engineering program teaches students about aerospace design and theory, the modern analysis, measurement, communications and computer methods. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
The MIT (for its acronym in English) is located on the outskirts of Boston, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. All program students will gain knowledge of the basic principles of aerospace engineering but must choose one of two specialties: Aerospace engineering or aerospace engineering with information technology. Even after choosing their specialty, students can still take other courses as electives. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) 77 Massachusetts Avenue. Academy US Air Force. UU.

The Academy US Air Force. UU., Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is one of the most prominent universities in aeronautical engineering in the United States and prepares cadets to serve in the Air Force. Unlike other colleges and universities, cadets must first complete basic training before they can enroll in the program's degree in aeronautical engineering. Cadets are trained in various disciplines such as aerodynamics, aircraft design, engine design, materials and aerospace structures, propulsion, flight mechanics and experimental and computational investigations.
