Then last year's ranking of the best business schools Club-MBA is shown. This ranking is a "ranking of rankings" because it is based on the five most famous MBA rankings. Check methodologies after the table for more information.

Methodologies

Ranking club-mba

The ranking of club-mba is a "ranking of rankings" because it combines the five most famous MBA rankings: Business Week, US News, Forbes, Financial Times and The Economist, eliminating anomalies and distortions that often occur in the rankings each individual publication. Unlike the ranking of Poets & Quants (known for using a similar methodology), our ranking classifies together American and international schools in the same list. It is noteworthy that the ranking of club-mba uses the latest version of the five rankings at the time of its publication each spring.

Each ranking is assigned a specific weight and a total index is calculated for each school from the position for the school in each ranking. Finally, each school Ascending index is ordered

US schools

For US schools, each of the five rankings it is given the same weight (20%). Take the example of a fictional school "X" whose rankings are:

- Business Week: 2

- US News: 1

- Forbes: 1

- Financial Times: 2

- The Economist: 5

Therefore, index X would be (2 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 5) / 5 = 2.2.

International schools

For international schools (ie schools outside the United States) calculation is more complex because the only two rankings that classify together US and international schools are Financial Times and The Economist. Both Business Week and Forbes published an independent ranking with international schools and therefore American schools do not mix with the rest. Finally, US News ranks US schools only and does not publish any independent listing for international schools. For all these reasons, for international schools our ranking gives a 40% weight Financial Times ranking, 40% at The Economist, 10% to international schools ranking Business Week and Forbes 10%. Take the example of a school "and" international, whose rankings:

- Financial Times: 8

- The Economist: 24

- Business Week (international school): 3

- Forbes (international school): 3

Therefore, the rate of "Y" would be 40% + 40% * 8 * 24 + 10% + 10% * 3 * 3 = 13.4.

More weight to the rankings of the Financial Times and The Economist is granted because the rankings of Business Week and Forbes international schools ranked solely between 10 and 15 schools, which all fall between the 1 and 15 (while others have to 100 schools), and thus have an enormous influence on the final ranking as the worst international school ranks in position 15-25.

Ranking Business Week

It is the oldest in the world ranking (the first version was in 1988). It is published every two years. List American and international schools but separately, and is based on customer satisfaction. In other words, ranks schools according to reviews of recent MBA graduates in schools and companies that recruit graduates. In recent years it has added a measure of intellectual ability with a weight of 10%. It also examines the contributions of teachers in 20 publications like New York Times, Business Week and Wall Street Journal, among others.

US News Ranking

The magazine ranks only American schools, and it does each year using information collected directly from each school. A survey made to the Dean (Deans) from each school (25% of score), companies that recruit students scoring title (15%), wages and post-MBA (14%) bonus, the percentages of students who have found work and time to get after graduation (14% and 7%), GMAT middle class (16%), average GPA (8%) and percentage of students who are admitted to school (1%).

Forbes Ranking

It is based on the ROI, ie exclusively in the pre- and post-MBA salaries compared to the cost of the program.

Financial Times Ranking

This year the magazine has published the 12th ranking and is one of the few American and international schools list at a time. The ranking is based on data collected from schools and asked alumni three years after graduation. For example, the latest survey includes responses from 8,000 alumni from the class of 2006 combined with responses of two previous classes.

To determine which school is better than another, it is based on what school is more profitable (ROI), considering the fees, salaries in the found work at the end of the program, pay in five years and the opportunity cost .

Ranking The Economist

It is based 20% on a survey of students and alumni, and 80% on data provided by the schools. Includes salary increase from before to after the MBA, professional staff development, etc. It also includes information from previous rankings (50% last year and 30% above the previous two 20%).
